Sobre nosotros
Bienvenido al Hotel Hamersay. Soy Lorna y el nombre de mi marido es John Docherty. En 2008, nos mudamos de la costa este de Escocia a las Islas Occidentales para adquirir Lochmaddy Hotel, lo que nos brindó 16 años de experiencia en propiedad hotelera.
En abril de 2022, tuvimos la oportunidad de alquilar Hamersay House a los propietarios anteriores. Luego, en febrero de 2024, compramos el hotel y lo hicimos nuestro. Lo hemos estado renovando por dentro y por fuera, y esto continuará a medida que pase el tiempo.
Let me introduce you to some of our staff:
Gareth- He has been with us in the hotels since January 2025 and works front of house serving breakfast and evening meals
Simon - He joined us in April 2024 and iwas initially with us for the season but he has stayed and now works in housekeeping.
Lewis: He is our son and has worked in the hotel industry since he was 14. After a 4-year break as an engineer in the Royal Navy, he has returned to work with us. He is versatile and can handle various roles within the hotel.
Eilidh—She is our daughter-in-law and Lewis's wife. She is the kitchen manager at Lochmaddy Hotel and also cooks some shifts at Hamersay. She is responsible for our excellent homemade cakes.
Courtney & Shauna: work front of house serving breakfast and evenening meals
Thomas - is John's brother and has been cooking at Hamersay for the past 18 months.
These are our main staff, but others may cover days off and holidays. They aim to ensure your stay is as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Please feel free to reach out to them if you need any assistance.
